About our Express Ascents

Do you have serious time constraints and need to spend more time focusing on work, productivity, and family at home and are concerned about time spent acclimatizing on the mountain?

Our speed ascent programs offer considerably shorter itineraries by taking advantage of pre-acclimatization technology in the comfort of your own home before you depart and can mitigate the amount of time spent in harm’s way in the mountains and at extreme altitudes which can improve overall safety.

While often touted as ‘cutting edge’ we have been successfully helping our clients use portable hypoxic chambers to pre-accustom their bodies to the rarefied air found at altitude with great success for many years.

We take a measured, conservative approach. We recognise that altitude chambers are not a complete substitute for natural acclimatisation and as such we fine tune your schedule to take advantage of the best of both worlds optimising your efficiency, safety and success.

Depending on your unique needs we will help tailor either the 40 or 35 day itinerary to suit your window of opportunity

Please note: Express Ascents require a high degree of dedication and commitment to your pre-acclimatisation program at home in the altitude chamber and also actively training under the influence of the program. Deviation from your schedule, even for a few days, can impact your opportunity for success.

One of the greatest challenges in planning a goal as large as Everest is finding the right expedition company to support you.

It’s important to do your homework so you feel 100% confident in your choice and can focus on your climb. This expedition to Everest, we run together with our highly specific partner from US/Australia and our domestic toplevel logistic partner in Nepal. Together, we make sure we have probably some of the best teams you can get.

Look closely at both the big picture and the small details. Look at a company’s priority on safety, their investment in their infrastructure, quality and experience of their guides and sherpa teams, their reputation, their customization and their level of ‘care factor’.

Safety & Success

Your safety and success are the top priorities, in that order.

An expedition company should invest heavily and plan extensively for your safety. Look for safeguards and redundancies (for example; positioning highly experienced Sherpa and extra oxygen at the South Col for rescues)

Their leaders should be seasoned experts and their strategy should be patient, conservative and well planned which will give you the best opportunity for success. They should be using the best weather forecasts and leaning on their experience to be able to “thread the needle” when it comes to picking the best summit window and helping you to navigate crowding.

Remember that the mountain is always there so your safety must come first.
