This Broad Peak expedition 8051m Short Version you can only book it here with this program. We use a different path and will not follow the standard trek to basecamp. That is why it takes us only 40 days.
Broad Peak (originally called K3) is the 12th highest mountain in the world and is located on the border between China and Pakistan. The Broad Peak is part of the Gasherbrum massif and is located about 8 kilometers from K2. The Broad Peak was originally named after the designation of K2 as K3. On closer inspection, however, it was found that the summit was over 1.5 kilometers long, so very wide = “Broad Peak”. The Broad Peak is locally known as Faichan Kangri. The literal translation of “Broad Peak” in Phalchan Kangri is not accepted by the Baltis.
The first ascent of Broad Peak was made on June 9, 1957 by Fritz Wintersteller, Marcus Schmuck, Kurt Diemberger and Hermann Buhl from an Austrian expedition led by Marcus Schmuck. A first attempt by the team was made on May 29, when Fritz Wintersteller and Kurt Diemberger reached the forepeak (8,030 m). This was also achieved without the support of additional oxygen or high porters and without support from the team at the base camp.
